Balcony guards and replacement programmes
Glass and picket balcony guards for mid-rise and condominium buildings, including whole-building replacement programmes scheduled around residents.
Kortex/Capability/Railings & guards
Interior and exterior guards, handrails and balcony rails, detailed to the height and load requirements of the Ontario Building Code, and made to look like they belong in the room they are in.
A railing is the part of a project the inspector always checks and the owner always sees. The height, the opening size, the climbability and the load it resists are all written down in the Building Code, and so is the anchor that holds it.
We measure, detail the guard to the clause that applies to your occupancy, fabricate in the shop and install with the right anchors for the structure, whether that is concrete, steel or a stud wall.

Picket, flat bar, glass and cable guards for stairs and openings, wall-mounted handrails with returns and a continuous grip.

Guards detailed together with the stair so posts, pickets and handrail heights line up through the whole flight.

Yes. We measure a typical unit, produce a drawing for the board and the engineer, fabricate in batches and install stack by stack with residents notified ahead of each day.
Both pass code when detailed correctly. Glass keeps the view and costs more; pickets are durable and simpler to repair. We will price both if you are undecided.
Usually. A photo and a few measurements are enough to tell you whether a match or a replacement makes more sense.
Floor levels, opening, headroom and the structure around it. No charge inside the GTA.
A shop drawing showing the work against your levels, sent for your and your engineer's sign-off.
Sections delivered and field welded. One to three days for a typical residential job.
Welds ground, coating touched up, guard checked, and the site left clean.

Most railings & guards enquiries are answered the same day. If it needs a site visit to be honest about, we will say so rather than guess.
